# Plain Chainmons Plain Chainmons are the basic version of any Chainmon you encounter and obtain directly in-game. They are captured using the [Replicator ](/game-mechanics/catching/replicator.md)devices and act the same way as [Awoken Chainmons](/game-economy/assets/chainmons/awoken-chainmons.md) except that their individual stats and unique nature is hidden and they cannot be traded with other players. After reaching a certain minimum Level, you can trigger their Awakening to mint them into an NFT using[ $MONSTER](/usdmonster-tokenomics.md).
