# Morphing

Morphing is an entirely new and unique approach to monster-taming games.

YOU as the player can transform into any of your previously caught Chainmons both inside and outside of battles!

This enables players to gradually increase their character's capabilities including getting access to extremely powerful abilities and ways to travel across the map like running, swimming and flying!

The more Chainmons you capture, analyze and strengthen your bond with, the more opportunities to use specific Chainmons in various situations you will unlock.

### World Farming

Early on and with limited access to Land, you should morph into Chainmons specialized in certain farming skills to make gathering resources easier. This also presents you with the opportunity to learn which species are better suited for specific tasks and duties than others.

### Diverse Gameplay Styles

Later on, you may find yourself prioritizing a well balanced active squad of Chainmons for competitive play or harder challenges. You are free to mix and match to your liking but keep Squad [Resonance](/game-mechanics/squads/resonance.md) and tactical play in mind.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wiki.chainmonsters.com/game-mechanics/morphing.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
