The core focus of your Chainmons is fighting against other foes and increasing your character's strength over time.
Your player character inhibits a unique Morphing capability that allows you to transform into any of your active Squad's Chainmons and participate in real-time battles right in the game world.
There is active and passive battling, either you jump right into the action yourself or let your trained AI take over and enjoy the show.
Battles are happening right inside the game world, letting YOU take full control over the abilities of your captured Chainmons!
There are two types of battles:
PvE: Player vs Environment - wild encounters, NPC/Story battles and challenges.
PvP: Player vs Player - unrated, friendly battles but also contesting in Arenas and climbing the competitive leaderboard.
When engaging in battle, you can choose to morph into any of your active Squad's Chainmons to either engage or flee from this encounter.
Depending on game mode and battle type, the available actions might differ but remain overall the same:
Morph: Switch to a different Chainmon from your Squad and gain their abilities and powers, but also their elemental advantages/disadvantages while in their form.
Cast Ability: Aim at your foe in either melee or range combat and deal damage in real-time.
Use items to heal up gradually and try not to take any further damage
Switch back to your character and use the Replicator device to capture wild Chainmons
Leaving the battlefield by running out of their aggro-range or entering Safe-Zones like cities, gives you enables you to recover your wounds and adjust active Squad.
Other players in your environment can join at any time to support you with harder encounters. They cannot harm you outside of PvP content though.
These battles are part of the overall Training mechanic so every single battle counts towards your progression and learning goals.
When you actively control the action then your Chainmons are going to imitate your playstyle in future battles and occasions. Else, if you let them have a go at it then they still improve their overall behavior and skill against specific opponents and situations autonomously. The more you play the more intelligent and personalized your Chainmons become.
After you have successfully left the battlefield, you will be rewarded with exp, items and other kind of loot! If other players have helped you, the rewards are split up equally based on impact to incentivize a fair and collaborative gameplay experience.
