Capturing Chainmons and gaining their power is the core concept of the game. You can utilize them in various strategic elements besides Battling, from training squads, farm workers and proficient builders on your Land. Using their uniqueness and versatility to your advantage is key to succeed.

Chainmonsters come in different variations.

[Plain Chainmons](/game-economy/assets/chainmons/plain-chainmons.md) are obtainable through normal free gameplay by catching them in the wild or purchasing from special vendors in-game.

[Awoken Chainmons](/game-economy/assets/chainmons/awoken-chainmons.md) were previously obtained in-game and then minted on-chain, revealing their unique Individual Values and any hidden potential waiting inside.

* Awoken Chainmons do not lose any capabilities when minted, instead their utility is fully unleashed! You can continue to level and enhance them just like Plain Chainmons.
